During the first hour, we’ll discuss your current dental situation and past oral health history. We want to know your smile goals and expectations, as well as your concerns and fears.

Next, we’ll perform a comprehensive exam of your teeth, gums, and mouth. Our DIAGNOdent laser gently yet effectively spots decay in its earliest stages. Digital x-rays help us accurately assess your current oral health and identify areas of concern. We’ll do an oral cancer screening and check your gums for signs of periodontal disease. Examining your jaw alignment will show if you’re at risk for TMJ.

Following your exam, Dr. Emami will review the findings and present your personalized, lifetime treatment plan. We’ll fully explain your dental therapy alternatives. Intraoral cameras and chairside monitors, as well as our CAESY Patient Education System, provide additional information to help you make sound decisions about your dental care.
